A church built to know your name.
Cedar Hollow started in 1962 as a dozen families who wanted a church small enough to actually know each other. Sixty-plus years later, that’s still the whole plan — just with more folding chairs.
What we believe
The essentials, in plain language
God is real, and he’s for you
Not distant, not disappointed — a God who made you on purpose and wants to know you. That’s the starting point for everything else we believe.
Jesus is how we know that for certain
His life, death and resurrection are the clearest picture we have of who God is and how far he’ll go to reach us. Our teaching keeps coming back to him, on purpose.
The Bible is trustworthy enough to build a life on
We read it as God’s word to us — not a rulebook to win an argument with, but a story we’re invited into, worth taking seriously even in the parts that are hard.
The church works better as a family than an audience
We’d rather have you known than impressed. That means small groups over spectators, real names over head counts, and showing up for each other outside of Sunday.
Our story
Sixty years on Oxmoor Road
1962
A dozen families started meeting in a living room on Oxmoor Rd, wanting a church small enough to actually know each other’s names.
1978
The current sanctuary was built by hand on weekends — members with construction trades, members with none, all learning together.
2011
Wednesday Night Supper started as a way to feed three families going through hard seasons at once. It’s fed the whole church every week since.
Today
About 640 people call Cedar Hollow home on a given Sunday, across two services, ten groups and five serve teams — still small enough to know your name.
