Third Chair opened on Ralph McGill in 2016 with three chairs and a rule Theo still repeats to every new hire:
Nobody leaves the chair until they'd pay for the cut twice.
Old Fourth Ward has changed a lot since then — the shop hasn't. Five barbers, one front desk, hot towels that are actually hot, and a chair that's usually ready within fifteen minutes of when you booked it.
We built the online booking because we got tired of a phone that rang during fades. Book your own slot, pick your own barber, and we'll see you at your chair.

How does the $10 deposit work?
Booking online holds your chair with a $10 deposit that's credited straight to your service — it's not an extra charge, just first money down. It keeps chairs open for people who actually show up.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours ahead and your deposit carries to the new booking. Cancel inside 24 hours or no-show and the deposit covers the chair time we held for you.
Do you take walk-ins?
Yes, whenever a barber is open — check the shop or text ahead. Booked clients get priority on their scheduled time, so a walk-in wait can run long on Fridays and Saturdays.
Do you cut kids' hair?
Every barber cuts kids 12 and under, no extra fuss. Bring a tablet or a favorite show if it helps them sit still — we've got a phone mount in every chair.
Where do I park?
There's free street parking along Ralph McGill and the side streets off Krog. The small lot behind the building is first-come, first-served after 5 PM.
What payment do you take?
Card, tap-to-pay and Apple Pay/Google Pay in the shop. Online booking deposits and retail checkout run through the same secure demo checkout.
I'm running late — what happens?
Text the shop and we'll hold your slot up to 10 minutes. Past that we may need to shorten the service or move you to the next opening so we don't run the whole day late.
Can I request a specific barber?
Always. Pick a barber by name in the booking flow, or choose "First available" if you just want the earliest chair — you'll still see who you're booked with before you confirm.
