Recorded over eleven days at Diamond Street in East Nashville, Porchlight is the sound of a band that spent three years on the road figuring out what home means when you're never in it. Warmer and slower than The Low Hours, built for a screen door left open in August.

“We wrote most of this on a porch that wasn't even ours — a friend's place off Gallatin with a busted swing and a light that flickered if a truck went by too fast. Caleb kept saying we should record it live off the porch and Marcus talked us down, thank god, but that flicker is still in "Screen Door" if you listen close, right after the second chorus. This record took us longer than it should have because none of us wanted to say the tour was the reason we didn't have a home to write about. So we wrote about that instead. — W.E.
